Gary and Carter back in first – Mike Ritti Shoots 300, Dennis 268 for 591 in game 4!!

Dennis Shot 268 and Mike 300 for a Team Game of 591

Changes to the leader board going into the last week as Russ and Kyle spanked it good, winning only 3 points last night. What is very curious is that they lost 3 games but won the series point! Of course a 515 in the 3rd game didn't hurt, but they still dropped from 1st to 3rd based upon that performance.

Carter and Gary went from a tie for first to first by 1 point over Dennis and Mike with Russ and Kyle 1 behind them. In a distant 4th, but still in it…sort of…Mike and Mike have a 5 point deficit to make up.

Correction ** if there is a tie...total pins does NOT determine the winner** In case of a tie, total pins will come into play and Russ and Kyle have a 84 pin lead over Carter and Gary and a 187 pin lead over the Rittis.

Speaking of the Ritti's…in game 4 last night, Dennis and Mike both started with the first 7 strikes, Dennis did not strike in the 8th but went on to shoot 267, while son Mike went "all the way" shooting 300! For a 591 game, taking over the high game of the year and one of the best father/son scores in recent memory…great bowling Dennis…I guess not too many thigh slaps that game?

Other big scores, Mike Steil, continues his hot had, coming off another PBA Regional cashing shooting 268, 279 + 943 series. Tom Svela shot 279, so some decent scores.

Average wise, Gary Burian continues to lead the pack and Russ DeCaluwe powered his way into second, here are the averages:

Shout out to Wally Papciak…who has worked hard on his game and is averaging 213 this summer…good going Wally.

Congrats to the Ritti's and it is going to be a wild finish next week. Winning this league is very worth wild … see you Tuesday for the grand finale.

  1. Lou, total pins never break any championship ties.

Rule 113a: Total pins for the season or team average cannot break position standing ties at the conclusion of the season, or at the end of any segment of a split season schedule.
