Russ and Kyle Power their way into first place – Top 3 spots separated by 1 point

Oh Crap - We are not in first this week!!

Like every year, the Tuesday Summer Doubles league at River Rand Bowl is super, super close…and this year is no exception. With three weeks to go, the top 3 spots are separated by 1 point.

Tuesday, Russ Decaluwe, (who I thought sucked at bowling, as he averaged 192 last summer) is pounding the piss out of the pins and newly resurgent partner Kyle Larson is throwing the ball like he finally knows what the hell he is doing. They shot 1975 series on Tuesday to surge into the lead.

The Ritti's and 3rd Wheel Reinfart are second 1 point behind, but just barely as Dennis and Mike both struck out in the 10th of game 4 to win by 1 pin. In third 2 points out of first and 1 out of second is Carter and Gary who won six points on Tuesday.

In fourth, it is a Miracle as yours truly and Matt Koljack are in 4th, Mike and Mike, coming off of Mike Steil's PBA win, got pounded and lost all 4 games to drop to 5th tied with Paul Vanis and Don Holmes. After that, it is tight all the way to 11th place.

Average wise, Gary Burian is giving up some ground and Russ can catch him. The lefties are still 1, 2, 3, 6, 8, 11th …and there are only 8 in the league…come on…toughen up the left side for Christ's Sake.

I wrote a little ditty…sing it to the tune of "I wish I was an Oscar Meyer Weiner":

"Oh I wish I could throw the ball lefty – That is what I would really like to do – Cause if I could throw the ball Lefty, I would average 220 too!!"

Side Note – I realize that I missed the first four weeks and it takes time to get "into" a new league, but I have to say, this is really a great league. Super competitive, not too many douche bags and lots of laughs and a pretty good time. The next three weeks should be a riot. Stay tuned.

  1. I don't know about the rest of you, but I would love to see a left handed chicken wing shot from Lou. Anybody else confused by Lou's logic cuz I see Kevin and MikeSteil above 215. Maybe those top lefties are just good bowlers, now that's just a thought. If you add the words " like a" in front of the words lefty, then douchebags song would sound right. Let's remember it is Lou and he does not sing very well, we've all heard him.

  2. It's just frustration because he's getting whooped by us haha...If a lefty bowls bad its because he sux and if he bowls good its a lefty house..its a lose lose situation. We will just continue what we are doing haha!!

  3. The only thing Lou could average 220 at, would be minutes in front of a slot machine before moving on to the next one. That woul be 2 minutes and 20 seconds, not 220 minutes.
