Doubles League Begins Tuesday

The River Rand Summer Doubles league starts Tuesday and it looks like we should be full again this year, with 24 teams.

Unfortunately, the Juniors will not be bowling this summer as someone squealed to the USBC that they were bowling in the BBT... so that kind of wrecks the great dynamics of the league...last year we had bowlers from 15 to 80+ which was really cool (can you think of any other sport besides golf where 15-70 year olds can compete competitively?)...but NO---not this year thanks to the person that emailed the USBC.

But on a positive note, the Summer Doubles league is a really great league, with great competion, lots of laughs, good friends and a very nice return of investment for the top teams.

See you Tuesday.

  1. Forget about Hugh? I believe he is 80+. I heard he'll be back this year too.

  2. There are some very well known sandbaggers joining this year. I will not be bowling full-time, so I believe others need to keep a watchful eye on them. If they want to keep the integrity of the league, someone better open their mouth too.
