Tommy G finally gets it done, wins first BBT Title wins berth in T.O.C.

BBT Champion Tommy G with Runner-Up Mikie D

Well it took a while but Tommy Gimena finally won his first BBT title of the year easily beating BBT Champion Mike D in the final 194/226 to 170/203. The final match was about as exciting as watching grass grow...but not every match is a barn burner.

Here is how it played out...

Qualifying - 9 bowlers this week with a whole bunch missing and the scores were very typical of weeks past. Decent first game and a huge drop off in game 2. In fact yesterday, first game qualifying was a 197 average and game 2 was 177...can you say fried lanes? I mean huge swings, Dennis 212/164, Waz 201/175, Ryan 217/147, Mike R 223/173, Gimena 196/168... ouch.

The field was cut to 4 and 2 good matches. Mikie D versus Mike R. with Mike D doubling in the tenth to beat Mike R. Now I was not supposed to say, but the second ball in the 10th by Mikie D was a total NOSE CRUNCHER...and Tittie left a 10 pin on his first shot in the 10th.

Game 2 Gimena versus the 1973 champ...Well, Gimena won handily 247/279 to 222/254, but he had 5 Brooklyn strikes...not that it matters...but F I V E strikes on the ovaries? Come on Tommy...hit the damn pocket would you...?

Lots of big scores last night. The King of the Hill had some of the highest top 3 in a long time. Pins over average was sky high and King scratch was a big number.

  2. Maybe I should bring a little cheese to go with that "WHINE" about the nose cruncher in the tenth. It's nice that Tommy made the T.O.C. Congratulations Tommy! Lou, you have 3 weeks left. Come on, let's go you most biggest of "DOUCHE BAGS"!

  4. I thought Wednesday was the night...but Tommy pounded me with his 5 Brooklyns when they counted.

My prediction...I will sin....I mean win!!!
