  1. Lou....my math says that, 8+5=13 would leave Ryan 1 event short of qualifying for the T.O.C. It wouldn't be fair to the rest of the bowlers who have bowled all year long and diligently paid there entry fees. You might as well open up the T.O.C. to the whole field that didn't meet the points, weeks or winner qualifications. Why is Sarah not eligible to bowl but Ryan is? Just curious.

  2. If someone has won a title, but does not have enough weeks, let them pay for the weeks that they are missing, if they choose to and bowl in the T.O.C. It seems that there are a few bowlers that fall into this category. If a rule is a rule, than that's fine, but if you are bending the rules for one bowler than that would be wrong. If this was the case than the BBT is not what I thought it was and what you guys were representing to everybody.

  3. Hollywood, good point. 8 + 5 does indeed equal 13.

  4. I have adjusted the blog entry.

  5. Hollywood...that is my fault. I was doing a lot of work that day that I sent out the info. Lou is just the messenger. The rule states a bowler must have 14 weeks bowled, you are correct. The reason we do that is so bowlers don't bowl only a couple of weeks and win, and just expect to bowl in the TOC. It would be unfair to all of the bowlers who bowled as many weeks as they could.

  6. To be devil's advocate, why would it be unfair to them? Having a bowler in the TOC (Tournament of Champions) who doesn't have the minimum 14 weeks bowled wouldn't take away from the Top 8 spots in points, right?

It's hard to have a tournament of champions without all the champions (junior bowlers and the police not withstanding...)
