Monday Madness - Actually, besides the pimp slapping that Lou and the Leisure gave to Bowlers ER...it was a quiet but interesting night.
Cesar is throwing the ball great...but I have never seen any bowler with that much talent throw so many horrible shots. Last night was a classic...he is pounding the hole and then leaves a 3/4/6/7/9/10 split...a four pin count...and then he gets 4 all day...??? Throw the big ball, live on the edge...I guess.
In the second game Will Clark shot 160...he missed an 8 pin the 10th by a mile, (thought he was baggin') well not really, since it is hard to bag when you average 200+, but it was strange nevertheless. Turns out his hand was injured and did not bowl the 3rd game...
Up steps Mark Englands wife to announce the JUMBO mystery pot and what number does she call...you guessed 1 6 0....holy moly...no split of the pot, one winner...Will happier.
Guess Jeff Matza cleaned up on Super Bowl squares...he won more in a day than he makes in a month, nice.
What makes bowling such a great game is that each week something different happens. Last Monday, the Doubles Pot took 575 to win and 574 for second. This week, 518 wins..
No Tommy Butt Reemer again this week, and speaking of butts, Jim was missing this week...a visit to the Protologist maybe? Inquiring minds want to know.
Did you know that the following are leading winners in the doubles pot this year...data supplied by most excellent statistician, Mike Lease:
Monday Pot Winners:
Jerry Calvacca/Al Brown
Chris Matza/George Geier
