Wednesday Business and Industry League Begins 9/9/15 - Women invited

The River Rand Wednesday Men's league has joined the new millennium by opening membership to women.  Yes I said women.  We had such a blast this summer at our Tuesday Doubles league that included lots of fun women...so it was a no brainer.

Plus, like all leagues we need people.  So if you want to join us, let the counter people at River Rand know and we will try to accommodate you.

Doubles League Begins Tonight

Doubles Starts Tonight

Like every summer, who knows who will show up, but the River Rand Doubles leagues starts tonight, 5/10/11.

Lots of people who said they were going to bowl pimped out the last minute...but we shall see....

The blog will be updated each week with results, comments (positive) and pertinent updates.   Let the fun begin.

Blog to Return soon

Yeah, everyone wants the blog to come back, so I will be starting soon.  They fixed this piece of crap software so that it usable again.

So have some patience and we will continue soon...I promise

It begins tonight!

It begins tonight
It's been a long wait...since April, but we are now ready for the lunacy to begin again as the Wednesday B&I bowling league at River Rand Bowl begins.

Blogmaster Lou is back with a vengeance and this year the blog will be even more brutal than in the past.  Nobody is sacred or safe.

So if you are a Mangina (Reinfart) and are easily offended...don't read it.

Fun and free-loaders

Mike and Tommy (100 pounds ago)
Personally, besides the fact that the bald headed douche dropped my phone and put a major gash in the side of it, I had fun last night bowling our pot games.

Lots of laughs, plenty of bitching by 9 team Wazy and Rob, Mike threw his new ball pretty well and Dennis was in a good mood.  Reinfart was not annoying, for a change.

But what slays everyone is all of the free-loaders that are bowling practice.  Not one of those guys gives any business to RRB...maybe fat ass Tommy, who probably spends more at the snack bar than anywhere else.  But the other guys...where do they bowl at?  Why are they free-loading?

More fine service from Will...

We start for real next week and hopefully, we will have a good turn-out.  Thanks to Craig for his fine recruiting efforts, nice job.

Coors Light Mens National League LIGHT ON TEAMS

Coor's Light League, light on teams

We had our meeting last night for the Coor's Light Monday National league at River Rand Bowl and the league is down to 9 teams.

Now that blows.  And when the Coor's light people find out that Butt Reamers team is not returning, (a team that alone drank a couple of cases of Coor's light a night) they are going to shart.

Blame it on the economy, blame it on the house, blame it on Marilyn, but only 9 teams is getting serious.  Let's hope that a miracle can happen in the next 3 weeks and we can get some more teams.

Lou's Bowling Blog returns!!

Lou's Bowling Blog Returns

From the first day of writing the blog I really enjoyed it.  It was fun to bust everyone's balls and chops (for women).  We had hours and hours of great fun.

Then the fun stopped when I got tendinitis, had a rotten time at the USBC in Las Vegas, bowled like crap for almost the entire year, got a new job that kept me busy, got sick of the shitty blogger software, it really blew and it all added up to losing interest.

We all know the USBC thing is taken care of and the annoying people will be less annoying, I switched to a 14lb ball, bowling better, in the groove at the job and now let the fun return!!

2010/11 Season Begins 9/1/10

Denny Peterson
The 2010/2011 Season is upon us and I can't believe that Denny Peterson will not be bowling this year.  What a pussy.  Says he can't compete...Denny was one of the best bowlers around at one time and he should be able to compete, maybe if he lost 100 pounds and got his knees replaced things would be better.  No Terry Caldwell either, taking a year off.  Great guy who will be missed, but I won't miss the ocasional B.O.  He needs to change deodorant.

And we won't have any Woody either, he is bowling at Classic with Jim Israel.  That is a big surprise to me.

And what is this shit that Dan Luncsford team did not want to return because of High Compression and their famous F' em up!  Now they are real pussy's.  Nice guys, but come on...this isn't a church league...it is a league where me gather to swear, fart, gamble, drink, bowl and laugh.  Grow some testicles...(manscapped)

Questions Remain

As the season is about to begin I have questions, lots of questions.

Will Power to Spare repeat?  Will Waz n' Friends choke again?   How many thigh slaps per week will Dennis do?  How many times will Reinfart throw the ball, stomp his foot in anger and smash the hole?  How many times will PJ drop the ball?  How many three pin counts will Zaleski get?  How many cocktails will High Compression have each week?  How many times will Mike Kasten ask you how you are? Will Craig have the balls to fix the bartender situation?   F' no.  Marilyn has him by the gonads...pictures?  Maybe.  By how many boards will Matt Koljack miss a 3 pin?  How fat will Jeff Matza be?  How many OH MY Todds, will we hear?  How many times will Mike Ritti check his phone a night for messages?  How many words will Hugh say in a night?  How much new business has the beer "garden" generated?  When will be the last time Kenny Gorman washed his shirt, he makes Chad Weiss seem well groomed.  What will be the farthest that Rob Forshall will throw his ball down the lane after a ringing 7? How many times will George Roth and Mike Kass say F_ck?

B&I Starts 9/1/10
Yes, less than 2 weeks and the madness on River Road begins.  Let's all hope for fun year, healthy ball busting, good debates and have Lou's team win the league and have Waz n Friends come in last place.

Now for all of bitches that complained about no blog, well...IT'S BACK MO FO'S!!

Kev's Korner Returns

Kev's Korner is back by popular demand...minus the popular part...and now that I think about it, minus the demand part too. Either way, since the blogmaster has been M.I.A. with spankitis and loss of passion, I figured I would start filling in for him again, as once before.

There is plenty to talk about between BBT, B&I, Coor's Light Mondays, some random junk and Kev's 10 Predictions of the Week.

So sit back, relax, and be ready to read...probably read a lot...ok...a crap load of reading. I talk a lot I get it. Just be patient with me. I'll get to the good stuff here in a second. I just want to explain the talking a lot thing. Eh...nevermind, yall will dose off so I will just get to the subjects at hand.

B&I:
We're 9 weeks into the season and we've had plenty of captain's meetings and now some more complaints. This time it's about High Compression's loudness and swearing. Here's my view point on the subject, both as an Officer and a bowler I guess. Their team loves to have fun, it's a men's league and most importantly it's a bowling center. If people aren't able to have fun and be loud in a bowling center then where else are they supposed to do it? There is no USBC rule that says what they are doing is against the rules. With that said, both President Waz and myself have asked them to keep the swearing to a minimum and to tame down how many times the explosions of emotion happen. I still think that team camaraderie like that is more than ok. If you've ever gone to a college bowling tournament every single team does that almost every single frame of every single game of every single tournament.

One more thing on that...the more you get bugged by someone doing something like that, the more they are probably going to do it. It's just like telling a little kid that it's annoying when they tap you on the shoulder all the time...they'll probably continue to do it...and probably more often.

As always, if any league members have a problem with anything at all about the league or anything that is in anyway related to the league, please bring it to the attention of any of the officers. The President/VP/Sec/Treasurer chat very often about things that are going on within the league. Some of them are extremely minor and others need a lengthly discussion. Either way, we were voted on by the bowlers, so we are there to do our best for them.

BBT:
What is up with this? A lot of our regulars from last year are missing this year. Some have work schedules that no longer make it feasible, some live too far, and there are a bunch of other reasons. No matter which way you look at it, it sucks right now. We barely have enough bowlers to bowl each week and keep this going. The people that bowl each week really want to keep it going too. We invite anyone interested in bowling to come. Please also recruit bowlers that may be interested. The way the points systems are setup, someone doesn't have to bowl the entire season to have a chance at the top of the standings. Joining this late in the season is no problem at all. It's a good time, even when Lou isn't around to entertain us. It's a friendly atmosphere, with everyone cheering each other on. It is still competitive though. We all want to win. I'm not sure what else to say other than BOWL DAMMIT! :-)

With so few bowlers we have had a lot of multiple winners. However, no one person has bowled really well across the entire season, so it's been really competitive. Both the regular points and the Bowler of the Year points are extremely tight. The number of eligible bowlers for the End of Season tournament is growing and the prize fund for it as well.

I often get sidetracked that late at night, so I may or may not have congratulated all the winners the actual week they bowled, so if I missed you then here's your congratulations. We've had winners this year that are barely out of junior leagues and old folks that are a year or two away from a retirement home. So far in our Jrs. VS Srs. tournament the Senior winner has turned out to beat the Juniors winner. All ages and sexs are invited. That includes Lou's sex...ugh, Lou and sex in the same sentence...I don't suggest anyone trying to say that. I think I just threw up in my mouth.

COOR'S LIGHT MONDAYS:
I don't know much of what to say here. However, there is one thing that I always have to throw my two cents in on. Sandbagging. There may not be a bigger pet peave of mine when it comes to league bowling. There is still an extremely large problem with this in this league. There are many minor solutions that will help minimize the problem. Annoyingly, some of these suggestions have been suggested for years...including from myself when I was in the league and even when I wasn't. If this league is to grow, I think that is the absolute main focus the officers and commited bowlers need to take a look at.

RANDOM JUNK:
Someone...hire me!!! I really, really need a job.

Lou...get your elbow fixed, so that you can bowl better, so that you can have fun, so that we can have more fun. Oh yeah, so you can bowl the BBT too.

Mario...me and you by the bike racks on Wednesday.

Cesar's team...stop having your ticket pulled for the strike pot and then winning it. Let the damn thing build up so there's more excitement. My goal is for it to get to $200,000,000 like the lottery did a couple weeks ago.

Craig...service please...still. League officers and bowlers are past the end of their rope on patientcy.

Cohen's Team...you are now required to not miss any weeks. You kill all the pots when you miss.

Justine...hi.

Mike D....hi.

PREDICTIONS:
1) Lou will bowl in the BBT again at some point in the season.

2) Within the last 5 weeks of the BBT, there will be at least 5 bowlers with a chance at winning the points title and at least 3 bowlers with a chance to win Bowler of the Year.

3) We will have another captain's meeting this year and Cesar will throw a chair at someone during the meeting.

4) High Compression's team will write a petition to the league officers to require each team to drink and yell as much as they do so they are no longer the outcasts, and are then the norm.

5) Lou will shoot his first 200 of the season in game 2, two weeks from yesterday. It will be a 209. And he'll have 1 open and it will be in the 8th frame. In that same game he will say, "I'm on &#!%ing fire!!!"

6) Next week Matt Koljack will say exactly 99 words on the mic throughout the night...when summed up by a translator...he could have said 25 of those words and accomplished the same result.

7) Someone will win the 30 clean within the next two weeks.

8) The sun will rise tomorrow and it will rain somewhere in South America.

9) I will win the Mega Millions on Friday and give each of my friends $10,000. Anyone want to sign-up for my friend list? I'm making out my list now, so I don't have to think of it on Saturday.

10) My last and final prediction is...A bowler with an 'A' or 'E' or 'O' in their first name will be one of the partners to win this week's first ever BBT Doubles Major.

Sorry about the lack of posting

1973 NJCAA Champions - Nassau Community College

Some people are wondering about the lack of Blog Posts...well I do have reasons:

I have been busy with a new job, My Grandmother passed away last Sunday (has been sick for 2 months), my elbow has severe Tendonitis, so I am bowling like shit and I have bowled in the BBT 1 time this year...coming in last place.

So in result, that blogging passion is not there.  I have not shot a deuce this year, (dropped a few though), my team on Wednesday blows, (thanks to me) I missed 2 weeks because of the flu, have gotten into few pots, and quite frankly, I am not having any bowling fun.

So please understand...we will be back...but I have to get the PASSION back before I can get back on the ole Blog horse.

If anyone wants to buy lousbowlingblog.com, let's talk...

Wazy's Rant

What the hell is with the guy who runs the pots on Mondays?

I did my normal walk up and down the lanes checking the Instant Clean and payed off William on an awesome 6 clean. About the end of the first game, I told Sip that William won it with 6. OOOPS, It turns out that Sip was still clean, I must be getting old or maybe I need to take a longer look next time. After approaching William to tell him of the mistake, he once again showed how much of a stand up guy he truly is. He made no qualms about the mistake at all. At least not to me, I would understand if he joked about it behind my back but I don't believe he did. I know Kevin on Sip's team was having a blast at my expense, every time I went past their lanes the little bastard had something to say. Now to make things almost worse, I screwed up William's score for the final of King of the Hill. Sip once again corrected me on that one. I was off by 2 pins and it didn't matter for position, so not that bad.

For my defense I will have to blame it all on Rob. I beleive a reflection came off his head and blurred my vision for a while. It could have been Kev's head also, he was hanging out by my pair also. Or maybe it was the whopping 122 shot by Rev's that threw me off my game. Anyway, I will do my best to get scores right from now on and give Kevin on Sips team at least a 2 week run on taking free shots at me.

That's all I got for now,

WAZ

Runner-up Battersby and Reinfart with Champion Justine and Mr. "Style"

Dennis tightens the Noose on Loose, wins 2nd BBT title in three weeks

Runner-up Andy with 2 time BBT Champ Dennis

Just when you think you are washed up, finished, Kaput, (like the Cubs) you resurrect yourself, buy a new ball and start to bowl great. Even if you are an old fart, in fact one that farts dust...it can be done and that is what Dennis has accomplished in the last few months.

After not winning a BBT Tournament for almost 2 years, Dennis has now won 2 titles in three weeks!!! tightening the noose around PBA Regional Champions Andy Loose twice, winning the Senior/Junior event Wednesday at River Rand Bowl.

The event featured a 2 game qualifier for the Young Guns and Old Farts, one match game and the finals. Here is how it played out:

In the old fart category, Lou V would have qualified but did not bowl so we had some semi-old farts in that division trying to make the finals:
